MOLISAN — SKIN & WOUND CARE SOLUTION
Basic skin-barrier care
- avoid aggressive rubbing and very hot water;
- pat the skin dry rather than rubbing it;
- use emollients regularly for dry, itchy or scaly skin;
- if a greasy cream/ointment and aqueous MOLISAN are both used, separate them in time so the oily film does not block direct contact of the aqueous solution with the skin.
Current MOLISAN protocol for skin psoriasis
- gently wash the affected area with warm water;
- use a comfortably warm dressing first to soften scales;
- apply a 6–8 layer soft cloth or gauze dressing soaked with MOLISAN;
- current protocol temperature: 38–40 °C;
- contact time: 20–40 minutes;
- repeat 3–4 times daily.
Scalp psoriasis
- after washing the hair, gently pat the scalp dry;
- part the hair section by section and apply MOLISAN to the scalp with a soaked cotton pad;
- cover the head with a cap or towel for 15–20 minutes;
- current protocol temperature: about 40 °C;
- repeat at least twice daily for an intensive course of 6–8 days.
Current MOLISAN protocol for eczema
- soften the affected area with a comfortably warm dressing;
- gently rinse and clean the skin;
- apply a MOLISAN-soaked dressing for 3–4 hours;
- replace it with a fresh dressing afterward;
- repeat regularly for one week or longer if needed;
- if the dressing remains clean after 3–4 hours, the current protocol gradually increases the interval to 5–6 hours and then 8–10 hours.
Sensitive skin and essential oils
Eczema can make the skin barrier highly reactive. If burning, redness, swelling or itching clearly increases after application, assess the reaction rather than treating it as an obligatory stage of care.
When assessment matters
- weeping skin, pus, increasing pain, spreading redness or fever;
- skin changes around the eyes or marked facial swelling;
- a severe flare that disrupts sleep or daily life;
- psoriasis with painful or swollen joints;
- an uncertain diagnosis or no response to regular care;
- extensive skin disease in a child.
