About the ingredients

Pau d’arco, also known as lapacho or taheebo, comes from the inner bark of South American trees. It has a long place in local herbal practice, where the bark is traditionally prepared as a bitter drink. Its woody character reflects the plant part used.

The bark contains naturally occurring compounds including lapachol and beta-lapachone. Their amounts vary with the species and preparation. These capsules provide the bark ingredient in a compact form; bark and isolated lapachol are different preparations. The product is intended for an adult botanical routine, with particular attention to medicine interactions.
